CLAD IN PLAID

It's the best time of year for a statement scarf. Especially when nature has decked all the trees out in such vibrant colours.
These double sided tartan scarves have been pretty popular over the last few seasons on the high street, however I hadn't come across one that I completely loved. When shopping a few weeks ago on Oxford Street I found this one - I loved the combination of traditional tartan and a green flecked check print. The oversized shape and length is perfect as both a wrap and acting as an extra layer, as well as creating a statement look with a coat belt tied around the centre - another way to freshen up older coats that have been sitting in the wardrobe, or even just for a change with a new jacket. It works especially well with all black and brightens up a simple everyday jeans look. I'm also loving the eyelet detailing on this top as an alternative embellishment and a way of adding an element of designer.

  1. Your scarf is so pretty! As you said a statement scarf is always a good thing to wear around this time of year, it can make a plain outfit look sophisticated and really put together! I love your nail polish too, this is a really pretty grey :)
